We are seeking an accomplished and experienced General Manager (Defence Contracts) to lead strategic operations in support of complex defence projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all regional defence contracting operations.
- Manage high-volume marine service enquiries across 20+ countries.
- Provide direct reporting to the CEO or Managing Director.
- Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals for short-term and long-term US defence tenders.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontracted marine agencies and technical teams on a 24/7 operational cycle.
- Strategise and execute regional business initiatives aligned with evolving defence procurement standards.
- Ensure 24/7 responsiveness to government contracting offices globally.
- Maintain oversight of 3,500+ sailors and their operational/welfare requirements.
- Deliver pricing strategies for over 40 ports across the Asia Pacific region.
- Represent the company in remote and high-security regions at short notice.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Postgraduate qualification in Management, with an Engineering background.
- At least 15 years’ experience in managing marine-related defence service contracts internationally.
- Minimum 10 years of Navy service, preferably at a senior or command level.
- Proven experience working at a Director level across 20 Asia Pacific countries for 12+ years.
- Must have reported to a CEO or MD for over a decade.
- Deep understanding of US Government Defence Procurement laws and compliance standards.
- Demonstrated capability in writing high-volume (50–100 page) technical submissions to military agencies under time pressure.
- Exceptional logistical and organisational skills; must be prepared to work extended hours and travel globally with minimal notice.

Pay: $87,811.15 – $220,303.27 per year
