Kings Engineering is seeking a Business Support Trainee with a keen interest in numbers. The role is a two-year traineeship and includes responsibilities ranging from routine administration to junior management accounting. This entry-level position provides an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on practical experience whilst completing a Certificate III in Accounts Administration, with the potential to undertake further training at a Certificate IV level.
Based in our Rutherford office, this role will be the face of the site, welcoming visitors, answering phones and assisting with a wide range of administrative and commercial tasks. The role reports directly to the Commercial Manager who is committed to supporting your professional and personal development. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced team and will be an important contributor to many business processes, while completing a certificate level accounting qualification.

About the role
- Act as the first point of contact for Kings customers and visitors
- Provide efficient day to day administration support to all areas of the business
- Data entry
- Acquire skills in Microsoft Office products
- Assist with the tasks required to provide high quality, cost effective and timely services to customers
- Become competent in a range of management accounting tasks
- With the guidance and support of the Commercial Manager and the Group Training Department, satisfactorily complete the selected course.
- Expanding the role over time to a broader range of commercial activities
Role Criteria
- Current NSW Drivers licence
- Confident and professional phone manner
- Strong organisational planning and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with others
- A team-oriented approach to task achievement
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail to ensure precision and accuracy in all work outputs.
