We are looking for someone with experience and who is able to run the kitchen.
The roles for the vacant position include but are not limited to:
· work from 2pm to 11pm, Monday to Saturday
· Clean kitchen equipment and tools before use. Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift
· Make icing, and icing the cake.
· Decorating cakes with icings, buttercream and edible toppings, like flowers
· Design and improve recipes to attract more customers
· Greeting customers, answering questions, marking recommendations, accepting orders and payments, and providing exceptional customer service
Qualifications and skills required for the role:
· Relevant tertiary qualification
· Minimum two (2)years’ experience as a cake decorator· Be able to decorate cakes using creative techniques
· Familiar with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders
· Understanding of food safety practices
· Excellent time-management skills
· Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude
· Have a high attention to detail
· The successful applicant would ideally be available 5 days per week, and be flexible to work around customer demands, including early morning, night, weekend and holiday availability.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
