How you will contribute
Reporting into the Capital Engineering & Strategy Lead, the role of the Capital Project Automation Engineer is to lead and execute Central Capital Projects across all Manufacturing sites, ensuring the successful design, implementation of upgrades, expansions, and new installations.
The Capital Project Automation Engineer ensures that all projects are managed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance, ensuring that relevant technical standards are met.
This role involves the full project lifecycle, from initial planning and budgeting through to installation, commissioning, and ongoing support. This role will advise and support other capital engineering team members on engineer and design decisions within other projects.

- Technical expertise across engineering disciplines and high expertise in one or more domains an advantage and these relevant skills include, Industrial Networking & Cybersecurity, Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Regulatory Compliance (Safety, Security, Environmental), Electrical Power Systems, Quality Management & Food Safety, Process Knowledge (Food Manufacturing), Manufacturing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and most importantly Project Management Principles.
- 5-10 years industry experience, experience working within food industry preferred
- Lean manufacturing / Continuous Improvement (eg. TPS)
- Significant Project engineering and design experience
- Experience with people management, leadership and development
- Leading to work effectively across cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders
- Strong communication (written and verbal skills)
- Strategic Prioritisation
- AutoCAD and MS office suite proficiency
- SAP proficiency is highly desired

- An engineering degree recognised by the Engineers Australia Institute is required to be considered for this position.
Travel requirements:
To other Manufacturing Sites as required in Victoria, Tasmania, and South Australia
Work schedule:
Adaptability & Availability to work outside of office hours (eg. Installations)
