Your Opportunity
Join a vital new Program – make a real impact! The Way Back Program is a non-clinical support service focused on providing rapid practical psychosocial support to people experiencing a suicidal crisis or who have attempted suicide.
Positions are available in Dubbo, Orange, Walgett and surrounds.
We're looking for passionate and driven people to join this valuable new service designed to reach and support communities who may not typically engage with the health system. This Program is expanding across Western NSW, and we are keen to talk with people who have an interest in the below positions:
- Peer Worker – work within a recovery and Lived Expertise framework in collaboration with other relevant services to support people to build independence in their daily life and contribute to their recovery, community integration, and wellbeing.
- Care Coordinator – work within a recovery framework in collaboration with other relevant services to support people to build independence in their daily life and contribute to their recovery, community integration, and wellbeing.
- Community Engagement Worker - responsible for documenting strategy, building local engagement with a range of stakeholders and community by effective collaboration and leading meetings across the community.
- Team Leader – provide supervision, guidance and support to the team as well as be responsible for auditing of case notes ensuring quality care and support, reviewing risk and safety plans and ongoing reporting functions.

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
