We are seeking a talented individual to join our Transformation team at Mercer. This role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Program Assurance Analyst
The role primarily supports the Program Assurance Lead and Remediation Plan Project Manager to manage consultation, review and recommendations by the program’s Independent Expert and Regulator. The Program Assurance Analyst will also work across the broader Hub Team (inc. PMO) and the Program Director to ensure planning, tracking, and reporting of program activities are in alignment with program delivery standards, regulatory, and governance expectations.

We will count on you to:
- Support the Program Assurance Lead in executing the assurance strategy for the remediation program.
- Gather evidence and manage document control.
- Maintain the evidence register and ensure timely collection, versioning, and accessibility of program documentation.
- Monitor program activities for alignment to the agreed remediation scope, success criteria, and control effectiveness.
- Assist in maintaining the RAID log, tracking remediation risks and assurance-related issues, and flagging escalation items.
- Contribute to the development and tracking of evidence plans for demonstrating control effectiveness.
- Prepare input for assurance reporting to governance forums (e.g., Steering Committees, Risk Committees).
- Support the Remediation Plan Project Manager to plan and manage stakeholder time required to support Independent Expert (IE) response, data gathering and interviews.
- Support the preparation of data gathering and reporting pack preparation.
- Track governance forum and IE minutes, decisions and actions in SharePoint logs to agreed SLAs.
- Coordinate access to evidence, documents, subject matter experts (SMEs), and walkthroughs required by the IE.
- Maintain an IE Request Log, tracking open queries, timelines, document status, and audit findings or observations.
- Support the Program Assurance Lead and Remediation Plan PM in responding to IE questions, and facilitate alignment on review scope, findings, and responses.
- Maintain the integrity of Program SharePoint and all tooling to ensure effective, standardised and efficient ways of working.
What you need to have:
- PMO experience
- Good understanding of project management methodologies
- High proficiency in MS Office 365 and MS Office 365 Online (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Planner, Project, and preferably PowerBI)
- High proficiency in SharePoint
- Analytical and problem solving
- Ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders, including managers and executives, SMEs and consultants
- Practical knowledge of project delivery lifecycles, methodologies, and governance practices, as well as experience with Project Portfolio Management tools
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to tailor messages for different audiences and build constructive relationships at all levels
- Strong organizational and time management skills
