Job Description
Established in 1988, Rest is one of Australia’s largest profit-to-member superannuation funds.

- Create control test plans and execute on them across enterprise wide and IT functions.
- Conduct control testing walkthroughs with relevant risk stakeholders.
- Perform control design and operating effectiveness testing across IT and enterprise wide functions.
- Request/gather evidence to support control testing
- Input control testing results into the Risk System (IRM)
- Provide regular controls reporting to relevant stakeholders.
- Assist with assurance reviews across enterprise wide functions.
- Provide control education/advice to relevant risk and business stakeholders
- Support the continuous improvement of Rest’s risk management and control practices across critical operations
- Provide control testing education, advice and training to first line risk teams and the broader Rest businesses
- Maintain the quality of controls data within the risk management system
- Support the continuous improvement of Rest’s third party assurance practices
- Perform assurance activities across their practices
- Support the engagement with third party suppliers to undertake assurance reviews
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in IT, accounting, law, economics, engineering, business studies or equivalent (desired).
- Risk management training/risk facilitation credentials from a recognised professional body such as the RMIA or GRC (desired).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Required experience, understanding or credentials including:
- Sound understanding of modern technology solutions and the cyber threat environment
- Current certifications relevant to Information Technology or Cyber Security (desired)
- Demonstrated experience in risk, compliance management, audit (ideally focused on Information Technology and/or Cyber Security)
- Sound understanding of risk and control frameworks relevant to Information Technology and Cyber Security (e.g. COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001)
- Experience testing controls relevant to Information Technology and Cyber Security activities
- Experience collaborating with business stakeholders to develop risk mitigation strategies
- Demonstrated ability to work in an environment requiring attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
