About the role

An exciting opportunity now exists for Carer Peer Support Worker to take up a role within Eastern Health’s Infant, Child and Youth Mental Health Service.

The Carer Peer Support Worker shall work collaboratively with other staff and management of the Eastern Health Infant, Child and Youth Mental Health focussed service, to ensure the best possible support and participation opportunities for consumers of the mental health and wellbeing program.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Lived experience as someone who has supported a person who has accessed public youth mental health services

• Demonstrated ability to work systemically with internal and external services and staff to benefit consumers

• A strong commitment to high quality care

• The ability to work as part of a diverse team

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
