We are seeking a reliable and experienced Roof Repair Technician to carry out maintenance and repair work on commercial roofs. This is a casual full-time position with a minimum engagement of 3 months, offering consistent work for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct roof inspections to identify leaks, damaged areas, or failing components.
- Perform general roof repairs including sealing roof fixings and joints.
- Replace and seal commercial gutters and downpipes as required.
- Use appropriate sealants, tools, and safety equipment to complete tasks to industry standards.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and order of work areas and materials.
- Report progress and any issues to the site supervisor or manager.
Requirements:
- Comfortable working at heights and on various roof types.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Good knowledge of roofing materials, sealants, and waterproofing techniques.
- Reliable transport and basic PPE (e.g., steel cap boots, high-vis clothing).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Desirable:
- EWP (Elevated Work Platform) ticket.
- Experience with metal roofing and rainwater goods.
Duration & Hours:
Full-time hours (Monday to Friday), with occasional weekend work if required. Casual position with a minimum commitment of 3 months.
Rate:
Starting at $35/hour
