Reporting into the National Contracts Manager, the Category Specialist will join our Procurement team to lead strategic initiatives and drive performance improvements across high-volume procurement activities.
This pivotal role is focused on delivering exceptional commercial outcomes and enhancing operational efficiency.
Location Options:
- South Guildford, WA
- Tomago, NSW
Roster: Monday – Friday, 8.5-hour days (Including half-hour meal break)
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and maintain a strategic overview of industry trends
- Collaborate with supply partners to monitor and review contract KPIs
- Lead strategic planning initiatives to transform the category
- Ensure contract compliance and assess vendor performance
Skills & Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Category Management, or a related field
- Strong background in contract lifecycle management
- Knowledge of advanced sourcing strategies
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Familiarity with SAP ARIBA or similar ERP systems
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Industry experience in mining, construction, forestry, infrastructure, manufacturing, or engineering (desirable)
