Collinsville Open Cut is located approximately 160km from Airlie Beach in Queensland, a town known as the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. Producing both metallurgical and thermal coal for the export market, the surface mine has a long life and is currently investing in significant upgrades to the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the CHPP Manager plays an integral role to the operation by ensuring that coal is prepared for delivery in accordance with the mine plan. A key focus of your role will be achieving benchmark performance levels of cost, safety, quality and output rates for the operation. As the Collinsville CHPP upgrade project is delivered there will be the added responsibility of ensuring planning and execution of operational and maintenance activities are in line with the project works schedule.
Whilst promoting continuous improvement of the CHPP, you will be required to demonstrate a commitment to and reinforce company values to all employees and ensure compliance with all HSEC and legislative requirements. You will be an experienced leader, providing leadership and guidance to the CHPP team and the Collinsville SLT. You will drive a successful, constructive and professional culture at Collinsville Open Cut.
About You:
Significant operational experience in a Coal Handling and Preparation Plant environment
Forward-thinking, natural leader
Ability to connect and engage with people and bring teams along on the journey
Willing to utilise leadership experience to continue to improve performance and culture within the CHPP
Ability to manage large teams in a complex environment
Knowledge of financial and commercial principles including capital control
