The North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency (NAAJA) is calling on passionate, community-focused individuals to join our Darwin team as a Client Services Officer in our Criminal Law Practice. About the Role
As a Client Services Officer, you’ll be a key player in supporting lawyers and clients within the criminal law system. From prison visits and court preparation to client liaison and remote travel, this role is diverse, meaningful, and deeply rewarding. You’ll provide vital cultural insight, logistical support, and client care in some of the most critical moments of people’s lives.

Your Day-to-Day Will Include:
- Visiting clients at prisons or via video link
- Facilitating communication between lawyers and clients
- Supporting bail proposals, rehabilitation referrals & community services
- Preparing files for court and bush court circuits
- Providing cultural guidance to legal staff
- Remote travel to deliver services in regional communities
You Are:
- An Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person (Identified role)
- A clear communicator who builds trust with clients and communities
- Organised, compassionate, and culturally informed
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Tech-savvy with basic office and data entry skills
- A holder (or willing applicant) of a Working With Children Clearance (Ochre Card), with a clean criminal history and a current ‘C’ Class driver’s licence (4WD clearance)
