About the Department
The Clinical Education department has a centralised model of education with a core curriculum informed by organisational risk, workforce requirements and Cabrini’s customers. The department develops resources and training programs for nursing, midwifery and allied health staff, ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout our organisation to promote high quality care and lifelong learning for our staff.
About the role
The Clinical Support Nurse (Perioperative- Scrub/Scout) is an experienced clinician who promotes evidence-based practice and high-quality patient care. Clinical Support Nurses (CSNs) support nursing staff and students across all education levels, including undergraduate to post-graduate learners, apply theoretical knowledge to clinical practice in diverse settings. Working with the Clinical Education Department, CSNs help develop staff capabilities in advanced patient assessment and management. The role includes delivering tutorials, providing bedside teaching, conducting assessments and mentorship of all staff and students
About you
As a passionate, patient-focused nurse who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic perioperative environment, you will also have the following:
Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with NMBA
Post graduate qualification in Perioperative Nursing (or equivalent)
Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAE) or equivalent
Facilitation of clinical learning & the provision of performance feedback
Recent and relevant clinical experience in scrub/scout nursing
Ability to engage and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Experience in a range of surgical specialities (all specialties considered with special interest in Neurology, ENT, Urology & Gynaecology)
