Job Description
An exciting opportunity for a permanent Part-time/Full Time role for Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse to join our team at Epworth Freemasons in Clinical Pre-admission. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough pre-admission assessments, identifying potential risks, and ensuring patients are well prepared prior to their admission. The Clinical Pre-admission Nurse works closely with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and support patients through their pre-admission journey. The Clinical Pre-admission service runs Monday to Friday with flexible work hours available, according to operational requirements.
You will make an impact by:
- Clinically phone screening all medical and elective patients prior to admission
- Identifying, documenting and following up on patient risks
- Liaising with surgeons, anaesthetist, and allied health professionals to optimise patient care plans
To be successful in this role:
- Current Nursing AHPRA registration
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong assessment, critical thinking and communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role

About Epworth Freemasons
Epworth Freemasons consists of two sites. The Main Hospital is on Albert Street East Melbourne has a total of 12 operating theatres.The Victoria Parade site is just across the road and consists of an additional 6 theatres, including our Maternity wards. We often share staff across the two sites.
Freemason’s primary specialities include: Orthopaedics, Gynaecology/ IVF, Urology, General, Plastics, ENT, Maxfax, Ophthalmology, and Endoscopy. Car Parking is available on both sites at a discounted rate and easily accessible from Parliament Station.

The annual salary range for full time Registered Nurses – AUD $68,212 - $95,776 + super + entitlements and Enrolled Nurses – AUD $66,094 - $74,667 + super + entitlements, depending on registration type, year level and position/experience (prorated for part-time).
