As an Admissions Booking Officer, you'll play a vital role in streamlining patient admissions and ensuring a smooth healthcare experience. About the role:
Reporting to the Manager, Admissions Office, some of your duties include:
- Following correct procedures for making and cancelling pre- and post-operative assessment appointments, “overbooking” of clinics or re-booking appointments for patients who cancelled or failed to attend as planned
- Continually prioritising workloads in high demand area and be adaptable to short notice changes to elective surgery in situations of demand management or State of Emergency
- Producing and distributing theatre lists and/or amendments as required to doctors, nursing staff and unit secretaries
- Liaise with medical/surgical bed managers regarding allocation/availability of beds, patient admissions and discharges
About you:
- Demonstrate ability to work independently under limited direction using judgment and initiative, self-motivated reliable flexible and enthusiastic
- Experience in patient related care areas
- Proven ability to meet strategic deadlines
- Ability to manage daily correspondence and provide accurate and timely data entry and work processing services
