About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced Club Manager to join a small club in a remote community in the NT. This hands-on position will see you provide friendly, safe, legal, and responsible management of a licensed club that adheres to the ALPA management contract and the requirements of the Directors of the Club.
This position is based in Pirlangimpi (Garden Point) on the Tiwi Islands.
Responsibilities
- Operate the Club according to the management contract, license, legislation and local requirements of the Directors.
- Roster, supervise, train, manage and develop employees who are employed by the Club.
- Prepare for operational financial requirements and complete financial reports daily.
- Prepare for daily stock consumption and complete stocktakes and orders.
- Supervise bar operations in accordance with licensing, health and hygiene requirements.
- Supervise catering operations in accordance with health and hygiene requirements.
- Be a champion of ethical behaviour, the responsible service of alcohol and demonstrate a commitment to work health and safety.
Skills and Experience
- Club, Bar and or Hotel Food and Beverage supervisor level experience.
- A thorough understanding of the requirements of this position under the Liquor Act 2019 NT or ability to obtain this is in a short period of time.
- A current RSA Certificate that is less than three years old.
- A safe food handling certificate or ability to obtain.
- Experience using electronic systems for cash handling, financial reporting and stock control.
- Highly effective interpersonal skills including proficient written and oral communication skills that can be adapted to meet the needs of people from all education levels, language abilities and ethnic origin.
- The capacity to link daily activities to the ALPA values and mission.
- Drivers Licence.
