We provide high-quality, person-centred support to people living with disabilities and complex mental health needs—and we’re looking for experienced female support workers to join our team in Campbelltown.
About the Role
You’ll be supporting a participant living with multiple diagnoses, including:
- Acquired & Traumatic Brain Injury (ABI/TBI)
- Anxiety & Depression
- PTSD
- Schizophrenia
- Mobility challenges
The participant may present with verbal aggression and can at times be intoxicated during shifts. We are seeking confident, resilient, and trauma-informed workers who can provide safe, structured, and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide behavioural and emotional support for complex mental health needs
- Assist with personal care and mobility support
- Support with meal preparation, domestic tasks, shopping, and appointments
- Provide community access and transport
- Accurately complete documentation, daily notes, and incident reports
- Build strong rapport while maintaining professional boundaries
- Promote independence and support NDIS goal progression
About You
You are a reliable, professional, and empathetic support worker who thrives in challenging environments and understands the importance of consistency.
You will bring:
- Female – required (participant request under Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW))
- Experience supporting individuals with Drug & Alcohol use (highly regarded)
- Proven ability to manage verbal aggression and complex behaviours
- Trauma-informed approach with strong boundaries
- Certificate IV in Mental Health, Disability, or Community Services (preferred)
- Current First Aid & CPR, NDIS Worker Screening Check, WWCC, and Police Check
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
- Confidence using electronic documentation systems
