About the Role
Lifeline is seeking a Compliance Officer to support and monitor third-party training partners delivering nationally recognised training on behalf of our RTO.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in safeguarding our RTO’s registration and reputation by ensuring partners meet all regulatory and contractual obligations. You’ll coordinate and monitor compliance activities, help to maintain standards, and support consistent, high-quality training across all partner sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance monitoring - Support the implementation of the compliance monitoring framework across third-party training partners. Conduct scheduled audits and checks to ensure adherence to ASQA Standards and contractual obligations. Maintain compliance registers, assist with investigations, and coordinate corrective actions to protect RTO registration and uphold delivery standards.
- Compliance administration - Manage records of trainer and assessor qualifications, professional development, and industry currency. Ensure documentation of third party arrangements are complete, current, and aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Risk monitoring and mitigation - Assist in conducting risk assessments and tracking mitigation strategies for third-party providers. Monitor external indicators and contribute to early warning systems to identify and address potential compliance risks.
- Reporting and continuous improvement - Support the preparation of compliance reports, regulatory submissions, and briefing materials. Maintain awareness of regulatory changes and contribute to ongoing improvement of compliance processes and partner performance.
About You
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in RTO or the education sector, ideally within vocational education and training (VET)
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Education, or a related field, or equivalent experience (desired)
- Strong understanding of compliance principles, regulatory frameworks, and ASQA Standards for RTOs, particularly in relation to third-party arrangements
- Experience in documentation management, stakeholder engagement, and administrative coordination
- Familiarity with monitoring, reporting, and risk management processes
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Additional qualifications such as a Diploma in Quality, Compliance, or Business Administration, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116), or experience in partner coordination (desirable)
