Job Purpose
The role of Contracts Manager on UGL Regional Linx is critical to ensure the successful delivery of all downstream procurement activities, necessary to allow the delivery of UGLRL’s maintenance obligations under the O&M Deed with TfNSW.
Reporting to the Legal and Commercial Manager, you will be primarily responsible for providing commercial and contractual expertise for the administration of downstream sub-contracts.
You will work closely with the Procurement Manager and Contract Manager upstream to manage all commercial, procurement and financial aspects of contracts and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with UGLRL obligations and policies at a project and company level. The Contracts Manager will be required to manage a number of staff as part of the Commercial team structure as determined by the Legal and Commercial Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with downstream commercial pre-contract activities including EOI’s, Tenders and Confidentiality Agreements.
Analyse, negotiate and settle downstream commercial positions to achieve strong commercial positions which safeguard UGL’s interests.
Prepare and review contracts (including scope of works) for their execution (MPM and Enhancements).
Prepare and review RFAs for contracts to be executed.
Ensure strong compliance to the UGL Procurement Policy and procedures across the project/ contract.
Manage downstream contracts, including any claims or disputes.
Develop and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.
Maintain complete contractual records, correspondence, proposed changes to contracts, warranties,
delays, extensions of time and other contract management functions as per UGL standards and processes.
Leading and managing team of Contract Administrators.
Qualifications
Degree qualified in either Engineering, Law or Construction Management is preferred but not essential
Ability to achieve outcomes in an environment of managing complex stakeholder relationships, including key business partners.
Experience in a contract management role within a projects environment, including negotiation of contracts, contract management and dispute resolution.
