The Contracts Specialist plays a critical role in overseeing the effective management of NHVR’s contractual arrangements, ensuring they are compliant, strategically aligned, and deliver measurable value. From negotiating terms and managing performance to resolving disputes, the role encompasses the full contract lifecycle.
Reporting to the Manager – Procurement and Contracts, this position is instrumental in strengthening supplier relationships, mitigating risk, and enhancing operational efficiency across the organization.
Key responsibilities of this role are:
- Draft, negotiate, execute, monitor, renew, and close out contracts
- Provide expert advice on contract terms and compliance
- Resolve disputes and non-compliance issues
- Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues
- Maintain a centralised contract repository (Vendor Panel)
- Report on contract status, expiries, renewals, and risks
- Develop and implement contract frameworks and templates
- Collaborate with procurement to improve cost and process efficiency
- Ensure compliance with WH&S and NHVR policies

- Knowledge of Queensland Government procurement frameworks
- Experience in government or regulatory environments
- Background in contract law
