We are seeking a dynamic Corporate Communications Engagement Manager to lead the planning and delivery of strategic engagement and communication strategies. This role is pivotal in fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including staff, consumers, community groups, government agencies, and healthcare providers. The successful candidate will support the District’s mission to deliver inclusive, accessible, and effective healthcare through collaborative engagement programs, proactive communication, and integrated messaging. Responsibilities include evaluating engagement outcomes, managing stakeholder issues, and contributing to after-hours media and event support.

What you will bring to the role
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or senior level experience in stakeholder engagement and communications in a health-related setting or similar complex operational environment.
- Extensive experience in the development, delivery and evaluation of engagement strategies for complex projects and formulating appropriate approaches to manage risks and issues.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, internally and externally, across varying disciplines and levels (including senior management, clinicians, primary care, non-government organisations, community groups and consumers).
- Demonstrated negotiation skills including the ability to resolve conflicts, manage competing demands and prioritise resources.
- Superior written communication skills, including the preparation of complex documentation such as stakeholder engagement and communications plans.
- Event management experience including community meetings, open days, symposiums and online forums.
