About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Demi Chef to join our dynamic Pastry Department. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Pastry, assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods. You will be an integral part of our kitchen team, helping maintain exceptional standards in taste, texture, and presentation while ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Head of Pastry and Pastry Chef with daily operational duties within the pastry kitchen.
Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, desserts, and confectionery items following recipes and quality standards.
Operate commercial kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and other specialised pastry tools safely and efficiently.
Maintain strict hygiene and cleanliness standards, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Support stock management by monitoring ingredient levels and advising the Head of Pastry of requirements in a timely manner.
Contribute to menu development and innovation alongside the pastry team.
Collaborate with the broader kitchen and food and beverage team to ensure seamless service delivery.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
Trades qualification
Previous experience working in a pastry kitchen is highly desirable.
A strong passion for pastry arts and attention to detail in quality and presentation.
Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment used in pastry production.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure within a team environment.
Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
