The Opportunity
We’re seeking a talented and passionate Designer to join our creative team. This role is central to shaping the future of King Living’s furniture collections by ensuring every design reflects our brand identity of premium quality, engineered comfort, elegant simplicity, and contemporary style.
You’ll work from concept to completion — developing, testing, and refining products that not only meet functional and technical standards but also excite customers and align with King Living’s design DNA.
The Role
- Collaborate with the Founder and cross-functional teams to design and develop new furniture collections.
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from concept sketches to final delivery.
- Ensure all designs balance innovation, functionality, aesthetics, and cost efficiency.
- Produce detailed production documentation and prototypes in the in-house R&D workshop.
- Liaise with retail, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
- Manage production changes via ECN (Engineering Change Notices) and communicate updates across the business.
- Ensure designs undergo testing, meet certification requirements, and comply with King Living’s quality standards.
- Deliver product training on new designs and support internal teams with accurate documentation.
- 2–3 years’ experience in product or furniture design.
- Qualifications in industrial design, furniture design, interior design, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and cost-effective design principles.
- Innovative thinker with the ability to balance creativity and functionality.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating design versatility and technical skill.
- Clear communicator who thrives in collaboration across teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Highly organised with excellent time management to meet project deadlines.
