Your opportunity
As our Instructional Designer – Seniors Communities, you will design, develop and deliver content that helps frontline teams understand and apply the changes introduced by the new Aged Care Act. Working closely with operational leaders, subject matter experts, and a dedicated Learning Project Manager, you’ll translate complex legislation and policies into practical, accessible and engaging learning resources.
With compassion and collaboration, you will:
- Conduct training needs analyses to identify capability gaps and learning objectives
- Create clear, role-specific content aligned with the new Aged Care Quality Standards
- Design and develop practical tools, microlearning resources, onboarding materials, and facilitator guides
- Lead train-the-trainer sessions to empower local leaders in embedding change
- Act as a content quality lead, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment across materials
What you’ll bring
You are a clear communicator and skilled instructional designer, passionate about making complex information simple and actionable for diverse audiences.
You will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in learning design, knowledge management, or a related discipline
- 5+ years’ experience developing content, training materials or service documentation
- Strong skills in interpreting complex frameworks and creating role-relevant tools and guides
- Experience working with digital publishing platforms like SharePoint, intranet CMS, and Microsoft 365
- Proven ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and engage stakeholders effectively
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Background in aged care, community services, healthcare, or similar fields
- Experience developing microlearning or quick-reference materials
- Familiarity with human-centred design or adult learning theory
