AMCOR Excavations is a civil earthworks company, primarily contracted to construct lease pads and access roads within the gas sector.
Amcor Excavations are currently seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to join us for a major earthwork's projects primarily in the Western Downs Area around Chinchilla and Wandoan area.

Key responsibilities:
- Continuous Improvement for Safe Work practices.
- Conduct the servicing, maintenance, and repairs on civil earthworks equipment including trucks, dozers, graders compactors, rollers, excavators, and posi-tracks.
- Work within Project rules and regulations at all times.
- Liaising with direct managers, supervisors and managers daily.
- Thoroughly diagnose and repair faults.
- Work to tight schedules whilst maintaining the highest standards.
- Adopt and continue with Lean practices to ensure quality and cost efficiency with all repairs and maintenance.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Current drivers’ licence (HR preferred but not essential).
- Fully qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
- Confident in all aspects of Plant repairs.
- Sound knowledge of diesel engines and emissions.
- Sound knowledge of drivetrain, brakes and suspension.
- Basic auto electrical knowledge.
- Competent with computers and digital diagnostics.
- Outstanding work ethic and commitment to getting the job done.
- Strong commitment to Work Health and Safety.
- A team player who is action focused and result-oriented, who quickly comes up to speed on repairs and priority breakdowns.
- Strong communication skills with proven ability to communicate effectively with a range of individuals.
- Experience in working in a high-performance team.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
