Remuneration: $35.01 - $49.12per hour. Renumeration for the position will be based on previous experience.

We have an opportunity for a motivated and dynamic Accredited Dietitian to join our friendly and supportive team working alongside our experienced clinical and administrative team within the Southern Downs region.
The successful applicant will be stepping into an established referral caseload. The position will begin immediately with the successful applicant. New graduates are welcome to apply however, experience will highly valued.

About The Role:
An exciting opportunity is available for an enthusiastic Accredited Dietitian to join the team at Healthy Lifestyles Australia. In this role, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, including other Dietitians, Exercise Physiologists, and Diabetes Educators, as well as external allied health and medical professionals.
This position involves service delivery across medical centres and allied health clinics in Warwick, with regular outreach to surrounding locations including Stanthorpe, Killarney, and Allora. The role is offered on a full-time basis, supporting a well-established referral network and client base.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver High-Quality Clinical Care: Provide evidence-based nutrition assessments and interventions for a range of health concerns including chronic disease management, eating disorders, bariatric support, and body composition goals.
- Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Evaluate patients’ dietary histories and analyse relevant data including biochemistry, anthropometric measurements, and medical history to guide clinical decisions.
- Health Education and Public Speaking: Facilitate group sessions, community presentations, and educational events such as supermarket tours, promoting healthy eating and nutrition awareness across diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with GPs, allied health professionals, and support staff to ensure coordinated care and best outcomes for clients.
- Travel for Client Care: Provide in-person services at various clinic locations or community settings as required, delivering consistent and client-centred care.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Document clinical notes, assessments, and treatment plans using our practice management software to ensure up-to-date and compliant record keeping.
- Promote Positive Client Relationships: Foster rapport and trust with clients through empathetic communication, personalised care plans, and ongoing support.
- Engage in Professional Development: Stay current with clinical guidelines, research, and evidence-based practices in the field of dietetics through regular learning and reflection.
- Support Organisational Goals: Participate in team meetings and contribute to service improvement initiatives that align with the company’s mission and values.
Skills and Experience:
- Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) or Provisional APD with Dietitians Australia (DA) (essential).
- Strong clinical knowledge across a variety of conditions, including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, malnutrition, and obesity.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build meaningful connections with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently across multiple locations and adapt to changing environments.
- High level of professionalism, initiative, and a commitment to providing client-focused care.
- Demonstrated time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload effectively.
- Confidence in public speaking and delivering engaging group education sessions.
- Proficiency with electronic health records, Microsoft Office Suite, and cloud-based systems.
- Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (required).
- Current valid Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
