Disability Support Worker – Kirrawee

Are you a compassionate and resilient support worker with experience in high physical and behavioural needs? Quality Health Care (QHC) is seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team in Kirrawee, supporting a 25-year-old woman with cerebral palsy, severe intellectual disability, and autism.
This individual requires 24/7 support, including personal care, manual handling, PEG feeding, and behaviour support. You’ll be working one-on-one (and at times 2:1) to help her live a safe, engaging, and fulfilling life at home and in the community.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity to build a consistent, trusting relationship with someone who communicates non-verbally and thrives on routine, visuals, and sensory activities.
Your Role:
- Personal care, including 2:1 hoist transfers and repositioning support
- PEG feeding and medication administration
- Behavioural support in both home and community settings
- Supporting the individual in daily routine with structure, visual aids, and verbal prompts
- Encouraging engagement in activities like music, arts & crafts, floor time, and community outings (staff drive required)
- Assisting with her day program attendance on Tuesdays and Thursdays
What We're Looking For:
- Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent experience
- Proven experience with high physical and behavioural support needs
- Confidence in manual handling and PEG feeding
- Strong verbal and observational communication skills
- Open availability across weekdays and weekends
- Valid driver’s licence (staff drive required)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working With Children Check, and current First Aid & CPR
