Disability Support Worker

About the Company:

Unidex Healthcare are a privately owned recruitment company established in 2001 and operate across Australia, with our main offices in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland. Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.

The Role:

Our participant is a 51-year-old Male who has a Traumatic Brain Injury due to a Motorvehicle Accident. This role is on a casual ongoing basis and a meet and greet with our participant will be conducted prior to commencing on his team.

Requirements:

Successful candidates must have prior experience working with with:

• Personal care
• Skin checks (pressure injuries)
• Manual Handling (supporting)
• Domestic tasks
• Meal preparation
• Community Access

Available Shifts:

This is a casual role but ongoing shifts each week

Wednesday & Friday 11am-5pm

Must be available to complete sleepovers shifts and additional hours every third/fourth week

Pay Rates

• Day Shift - $38.75 p/h
• Afternoon Shift - $42.63 p/h
• Sleepover Rate -$100.00

Key Responsibilities:

• Personal care duties may be required
• Daily skin checks
• Assistance with domestic tasks
• Assistance with meal preparation
• Assistance with daily Health & Rehab exercises
• Community access + rehab appointments

Skills & Experiences:

• Australian Driver License & motor vehicle
• Current National Police Clearance
• Current Working with Children's Check
• First Aid & CPR Certificate
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
