Position Details
- Location: Morphettville
- Shifts: Various shifts across a 24/7 roster, including passive overnight
- Immediate start
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-intensity support for a customer with complex behavioural needs, following established quality care plans.
- Use positive behaviour support strategies, understand restrictive practices, and follow guidelines set by the customer’s Behavioural Support Plan (BSP).
- Record accurate case notes on medications and behavioural support in line with the Quality & Safeguards Commission.
- Support the customer’s interests, including arts and crafts, music, walking, and animal care.
- Transport the customer in your own vehicle to appointments and outings as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Extensive demonstrated experience supporting individuals with behaviour management, mental health, intellectual disabilities, and autism.
- Knowledge of behavioural support practices, restrictive practices, and experience following detailed care plans (including medications and seizures)
- Understanding of the Quality & Safeguards Commission’s standards
- Willingness to work with a customer’s family and Behavioural Support Specialist to support the participant’s goals.

- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Ability to work across various shifts, including passive overnight shifts
- A genuine interest in arts, crafts, music, and animals
