As a Draftsperson within our State Operations team, you’ll be responsible for producing high-quality construction drawings that meet customer expectations, regulatory standards, and Burbank’s design excellence. From initial site plans to final construction documentation, your work will directly support the delivery of beautiful, functional homes across the state.

About the Role
As a Draftsperson within our State Operations team, you’ll be responsible for producing high-quality construction drawings that meet customer expectations, regulatory standards, and Burbank’s design excellence. From initial site plans to final construction documentation, your work will directly support the delivery of beautiful, functional homes across the state.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all drawings are 100% accurate and compliant with customer contracts, developer guidelines, and regulatory requirements
- Produce detailed documentation including site plans, floor plans, elevations, internal layouts, sections, and compliance diagrams (e.g. shadowing and overlooking)
- Execute variations and updates to existing drawings
- Review and quality-check engineering drawings
- Prepare final construction drawing sets for approval and build
- Diploma in Drafting, Design, or a related field
- 2–3 years’ experience in drafting within a volume home building environment
- Proficiency in ArchiCAD is essential
- Solid understanding of the National Construction Code (NCC), Building Regulations, and relevant Australian Standards
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
- Proactive problem solver with a keen eye for detail
- Customer-focused with a broad understanding of construction terminology and documentation
