Robin Russell & Associates Pty Ltd is the most experienced Consulting Electrical Engineering firm for subdivision development in Queensland. Since 1985, we have designed and coordinated the construction of approximately 5000 subdivisions.
Role Description
This is a full time role for an Electrical Draftsperson, located on-site in Stafford. The Electrical Draftsperson will be responsible for designing electrical systems for subdivisions, coordinating with various stakeholders, managing power distribution and electrical systems, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Electrical URD Design experience
- Strong project management
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Ability to work independently
- a strong desire to learn and develop new skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team, or autonomously.
- Diploma in Engineering or related field, with a minimum of 12 months relevant experience
Duties and responsibilities:
- Designing electrical URD and street lighting to all relevant current standards
- Checking of designs to ensure they satisfy current technical standards
- Continual and ongoing study to remain up to date with currentstandards/technical requirements Utilizing CAD and other specialized software for design and documentation.
- Working with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and specifications.
- Preparing specifications and technical reports
- Develop technical competence in electrical distribution and street lighting
- Provide input for software development to enhance drafting practices.
- Negotiate with relevant authorities to achieve approval of designs
- Resolve construction/on site issues related to design
- Assisting with feasibility studies, cost estimations, and providing technical
- support during construction and installation
- Supporting the electrical engineers
- Ensuring designs adhere to safety regulations and industry standards.
