THE OPPORTUNITY
We have multiple opportunities available for an Education Sales Lead to join our Strategic Accounts team in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
Reporting to the National Education Sales Leader, your primary responsibility will be to lead a team of Education Account Managers to achieve new business and existing account growth across our education sector. The role is focused on coaching team members with deal strategies, consultative selling and account management best practices while supporting individual sales targets. This position will drive cross-sell opportunities for IT Services and Process automation solutions, ensure compliance with panel agreements and contracts while staying informed on education sector trends, legislative changes and policy developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Education Account Managers, driving sales performance, consultative selling skills, and achievement of KPIs.
- Own and grow a portfolio of education accounts, while guiding the team to identify, qualify, and close new business across public and private education institutions.
- Develop deep knowledge of the education sector, staying across market trends, procurement frameworks, and policy changes to uncover new opportunities and ensure compliance.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, providing feedback, coaching, and strategic insights to ensure pipeline health, forecast accuracy, and team alignment with business goals.
- Help the marketing, solutions, and delivery teams to design campaigns, craft value propositions, and contribute to go-to-market strategies tailored for the education sector.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction, retention, and account growth through exceptional service and strategic engagement.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven track record in sales leadership and coaching, with the ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong background in business development and account management, ideally within the education sector.
- In-depth knowledge of education industry trends, procurement frameworks, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent strategic sales skills, including consultative selling, deal structuring, and closing complex opportunities.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with experience using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to manage pipeline and performance.
- Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior decision-makers and drive customer satisfaction.
