This role will provide the successful applicant with the opportunity to influence a broad range of environmental issues through undertaking environmental impact assessments and providing environment advice, particularly as part of the strategic and statutory planning process. The successful applicant will also be responsible for managing specific environmental projects, including the preparation of environmental management plans, strategies and policies.
Demonstrated experience and a strong knowledge of both environmental and planning legislation and guidelines will compliment your ability to fulfil this challenging role. The ideal candidate will be a team player, with excellent communication skills and a clear analytical mind, strong problem solving abilities and advanced interpersonal skills.
To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria as part of your application:
- Comprehensive understanding of planning legislation and its relationship to the environmental legislation and/or environmental legislation and its applications through the planning system.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the preparation and review of environmental management plans, reports, strategies and policies.
- Sound knowledge of environmental impact assessment in accordance with Part IV of the Environmental Protection Act 1986.
- Considerable experience in land use planning, environmental management, strategic planning and/or environmental planning at local, state or federal level.
This position offers a salary from $99,138 to $106,623 per annum (dependent on skills and experience). In addition we offer:
- 12% superannuation plus the opportunity to co-contribute up to 5% resulting in a total of 22%
