Contractor | Flexible Hours
Based in Adelaide (ideally near Green Fields)
We’re looking for a hands-on, tech-minded person to join our team on a flexible, contract basis. Your core role will be preparing and packing our photo and video gear ahead of events — but if you’re also handy with tools and can help us troubleshoot or repair a machine now and then, even better.
You don’t need a degree or formal training — just a good work ethic, some experience with computers and equipment, and a love of solving problems.
This Could Suit:
- A uni student or freelancer with a tech background
- A former AV or IT tech who prefers working hands-on
- Someone who’s built PCs or fixed gear for fun
- A methodical problem solver who wants flexible, non-desk work
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Prepare photo/video machines for events (testing, packing, checking inventory)
- Work from a detailed weekly roster to know what’s needed for each job
- Add extra cables, parts, and backups based on each event’s setup
- Flag and help resolve any equipment or software issues in advance
- Maintain a clean, organised workspace
- [Optional/preferred] Assist with minor hardware repairs (e.g. cables, mounts, screens, LEDs)
Bonus if You Can Also:
- Diagnose and repair minor hardware/software faults (e.g. screen not powering, camera connection, loose cables)
- Use basic tools confidently (soldering iron, drill, adhesives)
- Troubleshoot Windows-based systems and Canon camera connectivity
What We’re Looking For:
- A reliable, practical person with great attention to detail
- Comfortable working with checklists, gear, and light tech setups
- Strong general computer skills — you don’t need to code, just not afraid to troubleshoot
- Based near Green Fields or surrounding suburbs (for easy access to our warehouse)
- Flexible availability, especially weekdays
- ABN required (contractor role)
Pay & Hours:
- Flexible hours depending on event volume
- Contractor rate: $25–$35 per hour (depending on experience)
- Casual/freelance style work week-to-week
- Paid on invoice
