Event Promoter & Live Content Producer – Freelance / Casual (Project-Based)
About Us
Join the promotional crew behind high-profile, one-off events in 2025 like the Australian DMC DJ Championships. We’re looking for seasoned promoters who can elevate both ticket sales and real-time engagement through hybrid offline and online campaigns, including livestream and video content.
What You’ll Do
- Hybrid Promotion: Execute in-person outreach at venues and contribute to social media hype, driving ticket sales and awareness.
- Facebook Live Stream: Assist with setup, coordination, moderation, and execution of live-streamed event.
- Video Editing: Capture event highlights and edit clips using tools like Premiere Pro, After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve. Produce short-form video content for social channels and post-event reels.
- Social Media Activation: Develop and publish content—posts, stories, Reels—that boosts engagement, tags the event, and fuels FOMO.
- Sales & Reporting: Track ticket conversions, livestream viewership, and content performance; adjust strategies for impact.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior promoters and live crew; collaborate with event and marketing teams to streamline operations.
Who You Are
- At least 2 years’ experience in event promotion combined with social media and livestream content production.
- Proficient in video editing software and confident managing livestreams (Facebook Live, OBS, etc.).
- A proven track record of ticket-driving campaigns and measurable social media results.
- A genuine interest in DJ culture is highly desirable. DJ experience or past work in nightlife/music scenes is a major plus.
- A polished communicator, both on camera and off, able to pivot between strategic planning and frontline promotion.
- Flexible for weekend/evening event commitments.
Pay & Rewards
- Base Rate: At least $24.95/hr casual (Grade 1 under the Amusement, Events & Recreation Award) Jora
- Commission: 10–20% of each ticket you directly sell.
- Bonuses: Team-performance incentives linked to ticket and content KPIs.
- Contract Type: Casual / Freelance / Subcontract—strictly project-based.
