Experienced Mental Health Support Worker – Support & Empower Others
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Support Worker to provide high-quality, person-centered support to NDIS participants. Due to the needs and preferences of our clients, this role requires a support worker under a genuine occupational requirement stated by our client.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Provide person-centered support to individuals with mental health conditions
✅ Assist with daily living tasks, social activities, and skill development
✅ Implement support plans and encourage independence
✅ Build strong relationships with participants, families, and care teams
✅ Maintain accurate documentation and reports
✅ Support participants with community engagement and appointments
About You:
✅ Minimum 2+ years of experience in mental health support work
✅ Relevant qualifications in Mental Health, Disability, Community Services, or similar
✅ Understanding of the NDIS framework and psychosocial disability support
✅ Strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills
✅ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✅ Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
✅ NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working with Children Check
✅ Valid Australian Full Driver’s License & reliable vehicle (preferred)

- Monday to Friday

- Public holidays
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability
Experience:
- Working with people with developmental disabilities: 1 year (Required)
