The Factory Assistant position is responsible for assisting the Pioneer mill production Shift Trades, Operators and the Operations Coordinator when required, to help ensure factory reliability and factory performance. You will be tasked with working within the production shift team, assisting the control lab and helping out the day execution team with break in and preventive maintenance.
Primary responsibilities:
- Work safely and effectively within a team environment as a member of the Production Shift team.
- Carry out collection of Bagasse and waste water samples for Lab analysis.
- Collect mill 2-5 crushing juice samples
- Conduct steam out of Juice supply lines running to Lab when required.
- Assist production team with Operating mobile plant to assist with factory requirements.
- Assist the production shift team to complete preventive and emergency breakdown work.
- Completion of lubrication check sheets, servicing and cleaning of factory equipment.
- Reporting all equipment faults and damage/incidents, entering notifications via Ipad applications.
- Undertake further training and development.

The following qualifications are highly desirable, however, we are prepared to provide training to people who possess the right aptitude and team fit:
- Loader ticket
- Basic Scaffold
- EWP
- OHG Crane
The ideal candidate will have a commitment to continuous improvement, good communication skills, and be self-motivated with highly developed organisation skills. They will also need to be able to provide regular and accurate feedback on work to be completed, and be safety conscious - Work safely and look after the safety of others in the area.
