  • Managing all aspects of community services field placements, from developing systems to ensure CWA compliance, to building relationships with external organizations for diverse opportunities.
  • Providing essential support and guidance to students, agency supervisors, and host organizations throughout the placement process.
  • Collaborating with academic staff and the Work Placement Team to develop policies, administer agreements, oversee student records, and maintain academic standards.
  • Designing and delivering preparation workshops for students, and recruiting, training, and supporting Academic Liaison Visitors.
  • Fostering a positive culture, upholding Ikon's values, ensuring regulatory compliance (AQF, CWA, ESOS, National Code), and engaging in professional development and reporting.

Education, Experience & Skill

  • A Bachelor Degree or higher in Social Work, Community Services, Social Welfare, or Human Services, and a minimum of 3 years relevant post qualification industry experience.
  • Full membership, or eligibility for full membership, of the Community Work Australia (CWA).

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the capacity to establish and maintain collaborative relationships and handle complex or sensitive matters with professionalism, confidentiality, empathy, and discretion.
  • Advanced problem-solving, organisational, and analytical abilities, including the capacity to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet competing deadlines with accuracy, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the accreditation requirements, Code of Ethics and Practice Guidelines of Community Work Australia (CWA).
