Your Opportunity
As a Finance Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting financial decision-making across the organisation. You'll provide insightful analysis, contribute to budgeting and forecasting, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve financial performance.
This position reports to the Finance Manager (Financial Support and Analysis).
This is a Permanent, Full-Time opportunity, unless otherwise determined.
The position will be based primarily at Southbank and Mount Gravatt however this is negotiable as you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct complex financial analysis using systems such as Excel, Technology One, Power BI, and SMS.
Deliver consistent and insightful financial reporting and advice.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end processes.
Develop financial models for business cases and tenders.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
Contribute to continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting.

Demonstrated analytical, conceptual and innovative problem-solving skills including the ability to independently research, analyse, develop and recommend options and implement solutions to enhance business performance and reform business processes.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment and ensure individual tasks are achieved for the benefit of the team and the organisation whilst meeting deadline.
Experience in a diverse range of finance practices including revenue recognition, cost driver analysis, financial modelling, performance reporting, forecasting and budgeting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including demonstrated consultation and negotiation skills and proven ability to prepare and present submissions and reports.
Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements
Demonstrated experience in financial modelling, financial analysis and reporting.
Highly Desirable Requirements
Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
CPA or CA qualification (or progress toward certification).
Proficiency in Technology One, Power BI, and advanced Excel skills.
