Purpose of the role

The Finance Officer provides essential support to Tunstall's financial operations with a primary focus on the accounts receivable function. The main responsibilities include customer account management, invoice processing, collections and other financial administration.

Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable Operations

  • Support billing processes by preparing and dispatching invoices accurately and on time
  • Follow up on overdue accounts and initiate collection activities
  • Process and allocate customer remittances (EFTs, direct debits, BPAYs) to customer accounts

Financial Administration

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and cash allocation to customer accounts
  • Process accounts payable transactions including invoice verification and payment processing
  • Maintain accurate customer information and pricing data in Tunstall's ERP system

Customer Service and Relationship Support

  • Provide professional customer service while handling payment-related enquiries
  • Work with Sales and Customer Service teams to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes

The successful candidate will have

  • Some experience with accounts receivable, data entry, or customer service
  • Knowledge of Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Accuracy in data entry and financial record keeping
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic analytical skills to identify and resolve routine issues
  • Excellent attention to detail
