We offer flexible services either onsite at client locations or within our own commercial premises, ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery across a wide range of mechanical and structural projects.
Fitter (General)
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fitter (General) to join our growing maintenance team. You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and repair of heavy machinery and industrial equipment used in our Dandenong South facility, as well as servicing machinery on client sites.
Key responsibilities:
- Diagnose mechanical issues and carry out repairs and preventative maintenance
- Assemble and install mechanical systems and industrial equipment
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery used in metal fabrication and structural works
- Use technical drawings, manuals, and specifications to carry out tasks
- Use a range of precision tools and instruments to ensure accuracy and proper alignment during fabrication and maintenance tasks
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and report on any issues
- Adhere strictly to workplace health and safety procedures
- Prepare machinery by setting up tooling, guides, and operating parameters to meet specific tolerances
- Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including the installation and adjustment of piping and lines
- Assist with the on-site erection and installation of machinery as required by specific projects
Qualifications and experience:
- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
- Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in mechanical servicing and maintenance
- Experience working with or maintaining factory and warehouse machinery highly regarded
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
