Are you passionate about safety, compliance, and empowering others through training? As our new Fleet Compliance and Training Officer you'll play a key role in making an impact by supporting safe and efficient fleet operations that directly serve and benefit our community. Your work will help ensure our teams are well-trained, our vehicles are compliant, and our services continue to run smoothly making a meaningful difference every day.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Overseeing fleet compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies.
- Developing and deliver training programs for drivers and fleet users.
- Conducting audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Collaborating with teams to promote a culture of safety and accountability. Supporting continuous improvement in fleet operations and training practices.
What you'll bring
To thrive in this role, you will need:
- Relevant Qualifications/Completed Modules in Training and Assessment for Verification of Competency.
- Experience in the heavy vehicle industry, particularly in Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and National Heavy Vehicle Law (NHVL).
- Experience in developing theory and practical training packages.
- Proven ability in assessing competency of operational staff.
- Highly developed organisational, written and oral communication skills.
- Proven ability to interpret legislation, regulations, standards and codes of practice to ensure compliance and practical application.
We would also love you to have:
- General Construction Induction Card.
- Heavy vehicle and/or plant operating experience. Knowledge of Local Government functions, particularly in fleet management.

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $80,529 to $93,588 .
