Are you an organised and proactive individual with excellent communication skills? Kanda is seeking a dedicated Fleet Officer to join our team, ensuring a well-maintained and safe motor vehicle fleet is available for the transport needs of our clients and employees. This full-time position offers the flexibility of being based on either the Sunshine Coast or in Bundaberg.
About the Role:
The Fleet Officer plays a crucial role in managing our motor vehicle fleet. This involves liaison with customers, suppliers, and work orders in relation to mechanical repair and maintenance of fleet and assets. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Comprehensive Fleet Oversight: Manage all aspects of our vehicle fleet, from fuel cards and registrations to maintenance scheduling, logbook monitoring, and GPS tracking. You'll ensure optimal utilisation and compliance.
- Financial Administration: Review and scrutinise vehicle-related costings, process invoices, and provide essential financial details for business unit on-charges.
- Stakeholder Liaison & Data Management: Handle incoming queries from suppliers and internal teams, conduct routine asset inspections, and maintain accurate fleet data in our systems. You'll foster strong relationships with all stakeholders.
- Reporting & Compliance: Contribute to essential reports like the End of Month Report, Data Tables, and Action Plans, ensuring all legislative requirements are met.
You'll bring:
- Ability to manage schedules, track vehicles, and handle documentation efficiently.
- Relevant professional qualifications, such as Cert III or higher in Business Administration, are desirable but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail in record-keeping and compliance tasks.
- Clear verbal and written communication for liaising with various stakeholders.
- Professional email and phone etiquette.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Willingness to learn fleet management software or asset tracking systems.
- Logical thinking and a calm approach to problem-solving (scheduling conflicts, vehicle issues).
- Ability to work collaboratively, especially with maintenance and operations teams.
- A helpful and responsive approach to supporting staff with vehicle needs.
- Motivation to learn about WHS, transport regulations, and grow in the role.
- Relevant professional qualifications, such as Cert III or higher in Business Administration, are desirable but not essential.
- Hold or willing to obtain: Working with Children’s blue card, NDIS Worker Screening & Driver’s License.
