The Langham Hotel Melbourne is currently looking for enthusiastic & motivated colleagues to join our team in the following position:
- Food and Beverage Attendants
You will have the opportunity to work within the Food and Beverage department which consists of approximately 110 colleagues . This is an exciting opportunity for you to grow your hotel skill set in order to build a career with-in The Langham, shall you be determined and dedicated.
These positions are an integral part of our high performing service orientated hotel team, and a key contributor to the hotel's ongoing success.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Being familiar with food and beverage service etiquette, serving all food and beverage in a professional manner and to the required standards.
- Bar and cocktail experience
- Having a thorough knowledge of all menu and wine list items, in order to be able to accurately advise guests.
- Confidently make food and beverage recommendations to our guests.
- Ensuring the quality and presentation of food is served to the set standard.
- Making sure that the liquor and licensing laws are followed and able to understand correct procedures for handling intoxicated and underage guests. Work well under pressure and have the ability to effectively multi-task.
For this role, your attributes will be inclusive of the following:
- Sound beverage and Bar knowledge combined with Barista skills
- Current VIC Responsible Service of Alcohol is essential
- Current Vic Food Handlers Certificate – successful applicants may be required to obtain a food handlers certificate if they do not have one prior to applying
