Reporting to Operations, the position includes the following responsibilities:
- Load and unload of trucks, trailers, containers, and rail wagons
- Sort and check freight against customer delivery paperwork
- Restrain loads as per the National Load Restraint Guide
- Palletise and pack loads
- Handle general and non standard freight
- Counterbalance forklift operation
- Heavy lifting and dunnage duties
- General Cleaning duties
- Securing and restraining loads in a safe manner as per operational requirements
- Perform vehicle pre-start checks
- Report all damage freight and shortages via the exception reporting process
- Perform general housekeeping of trailers, wagons and SCT’s premises
- Complying with the Warehouse Traffic Management Plan
- Ensure compliance with all of SCT’s policies, procedures and applicable state and federal legislation.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Current LF High Risk Work license.
- Experience operating a Forklift in a transit warehouse.
- Transporting freight in a safe and efficient manner.
- Knowledge & experience with load restraint procedures.
- Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility
