- Deliver governance, secretariat and administrative support in the coordination and the provision of confidential, best practice services to board, executives and committees to enable IBAC to perform its legislated functions.
- Contributes to a range of policy administration, in the preparation of risk, integrity and compliance reporting, documents and processes that underpin good governance and formal decision making.
- Aligns committee operations with IBAC strategic objectives, with continuous improvement in governance administration, and demonstrate adaptability, inclusion and outcome focused thinking in a complex regulatory environment

Your new role
We have an opportunity for an individual to join our Risk & Integrity team as Executive Secretariat on a full-time ongoing basis. Reporting to the Manager - Risk & Integrity, the role will deliver stakeholder focused support for committees and demands strong organisational skills, sound judgement, diplomacy and resilience.
Duties include:
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders, including committee chairs, members, and organisational representatives
- Provide full life-cycle governance administrative support for board, executive and all IBAC committees
- Support effective and efficient information management, including monitoring shared secretariat email inboxes, and maintaining records.
- Expense management, performance management, logistics, schedule and coordinate committee meetings

Our requirements / Your skill set
We are looking for candidates with the below experience and capabilities:
- Experience in governance and board secretariat practice and/or risk management
- Proven ability in governance and secretariat support at Executive level forums and meetings, in Federal, State or Local government environment.
- Previous governance experience within a highly complex regulation operating environment,
- Understanding of technology platform(s) for board coordination, risk and integrity databases and policy, information and data management.
- Demonstrated experience in the handling of sensitive operational information.
- Adaptable and purpose-driven, collaborates effectively across teams, fosters inclusivity and accountability, and aligns team efforts with organisational goals and community impact.
- Defines tasks, guides execution, monitors progress, takes correction action and understands organisational pressure, climate and culture.
Due to the requiremen t to attain a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance candidates must be an Australian citizen at the time of application.
