Strahan is a small town and working port that serves as the gateway to the stunning UNESCO Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. Job Description

We’re hiring multiple casual team members to join us for the busy summer season. We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals to help us deliver the outstanding service we’re known for. You'll ideally be able to commit to at least six months, including availability over the festive Christmas and New Year period.
What you’ll do:
You will provide an exceptional experience to our guests from reservation and throughout their stay, creating lifetime memories. Your shifts may be rostered between 7am and closing time (approximately midnight). On a daily basis you will:
- Complete reception tasks such as taking bookings, preparing invoices, checking guests in and out
- Answer phone and email enquires promptly and professionally
- Communicate with other departments to ensure rooms are ready for guest arrivals or to ensure guest needs are met
What you’ll bring:
- Strong Guest Service experience with sound knowledge of NewBook, RoomMaster, Opera or a similar booking system
- A reputation for providing excellent customer service, engaging in great conversations with our guests
- Experience in night audit procedure
- A vibrant attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team
- Certificate II in Hospitality (Operations) or equivalent experience
- Problem solving skills including the ability to apply mathematical skills in a workplace context
- Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
- Possess a Do Food Safely Certificate of completion
- Flexibility to work across other areas of the business if required
