HelloDr Blackstone is a community-focused general practice committed to integrated, holistic care. With a growing multidisciplinary team, our clinic is expanding its allied health services to meet increasing demand for preventative, rehabilitative, and performance-focused care.
As part of this growth, we are introducing Exercise Physiology services to support patients with chronic disease management, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, injury recovery, and general wellbeing.
With the backing of GPS360, you will be supported by a team that empowers allied health professionals to deliver impactful care through innovation, collaboration, and development.
Clinic Hours:
Mon–Fri: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Sat & Sun: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Closed on Public Holidays
ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP), you will deliver personalised exercise interventions to patients referred through GP Management Plans, private bookings, or community outreach.
This role offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to shape the delivery of exercise physiology in a team that genuinely values allied health integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe and effective exercise-based interventions for patients with chronic conditions, musculoskeletal injuries, mental health challenges, and lifestyle-related diseases
- Perform health and functional assessments to inform treatment planning
- Educate patients about the role of movement in prevention, rehabilitation, and self-management
- Develop personalised programs that support long-term wellbeing and independence
- Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and other allied health professionals to provide holistic care
- Maintain accurate clinical notes and contribute to care plan reviews
- Promote exercise physiology services through community education and patient engagement
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology
- Accredited with ESSA (Exercise & Sports Science Australia)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Strong understanding of chronic disease management and injury rehabilitation
- Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working independently within a general practice environment
- Professional Indemnity Insurance, National Police Check, and Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Own transport (preferred for offsite/community sessions)
