The Payroll and Human Resources Administration Officer provides accurate and timely administrative support across payroll processing and HR functions, including employee data maintenance, documentation, onboarding and offboarding. The role supports compliance with Council policies, awards and agreements, while delivering professional internal service across the organisation.

Award: Level 3 of the Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream A) Award – State 2017
Salary Range: $84,359.00 to $88,752.00 per annum
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will have:
| Essential Knowledge, skills and abilities |
- Demonstrated understanding of relevant employment and privacy legislation applicable to the HR/payroll function.
- Proven administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage work priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated Experience in processing payroll and maintaining employee records using integrated payroll/HRIS systems such as Technology One or equivalent.
- Sound understanding of data confidentiality and record keeping requirements under privacy and employment legislation.
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry and document management.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to gain credibility, partner with and build rapport with stakeholders.
| Essential Education/Qualifications |
- Up to Certificate III in Payroll or Human Resources or Business Administration or willingness to obtain.
| Essential Licences |
- Possession and maintenance of a current Queensland ‘C’ Class Driver Licence.
