About the Role
Based in BYD's Melbourne office in Mulgrave, this role will support our HR & Admin team, reporting to HR Manager of BYD Australia. On offer is a HR & Admin Officer position and your day-to-day duties will include but not be limited to:
HR Support & Operations:
- Assist in employee onboarding & offboarding: new employee registration with HQ, access card, laptop, asset registration, system access, etc.
- Involve in recruitment process including job ads posting, interviews, reference checks, etc.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and personnel files.
- Assist the HR manager with initiating and launching various employee benefits and wellness programs.
- Assist in monthly consolidation of travel allowance forms, track and update Time-In-Lieu (TIL) records, etc., and ensure the practices are following the local legal regulations.
- Employee relations management: timely feedback to the HR manager on employee complaints, suggestions, and issues; providing support with the performance management.
- Monitor HR legal compliance by staying up-to-date with relevant labour laws.
- Promote company culture by organizing engagement activities and events.
- Handle with various ad-hoc HR projects as required.
Office Administration:
- Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the office environment, including kitchen and printing areas.
- Manage procurement and stock replenishment of office and kitchen supplies.
- Liaise with external vendors for office-related materials (e.g. business cards, labels).
- Management of company vehicle usage: manage lending process, maintenance, inspections, and fine investigations.
- Greet and log office visitors and manage visitor records.
- Coordinate office facility installations (e.g. EV chargers, landline, furniture).
- Handle mail collection, parcel delivery, and related logistics.
- Raise and process office-related payment applications.
- Perform ad-hoc admin duties as requested by HQ or management.
Key requirements:
- 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong sense of ownership for assigned tasks.
- Proficient excel skills and be good at reporting work results to the senior management
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin would be highly regarded.
- Proficient in email correspondence and reporting.
- Can-do attitude with the ability to multi-task.
- Detail-oriented and problem-solving skills.
- Able to learn from constructive feedback and improve accordingly.
- A desire to achieve and not afraid of taking on pressure.
- A great communicator who's able to collaborate with different internal & external stakeholders.
